The Montana Republican governor's primary race is heating up with many, many candidates trying to distinguish themselves and rise to the top. The candidates are similar in many ways, especially on the Republican side. All have some kind of previous experience and ideas to get our economy going again and produce jobs.
There is one major difference among the candidates, however: Corey Stapleton is the only military veteran. He was officer of the deck and surface warfare officer on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy.
As a Navy veteran, Corey is the only candidate who knows what it means to serve in the United States military and can best understand the needs of fellow veterans. As a veteran, I truly appreciate Corey's willingness to risk his life for his country and know his service establishes him as more than your typical politician. Not only was Corey a leader in the military, but also when he served as minority leader in the Montana State Senate.
Though the field is crowded with many candidates, one man stands above the rest in leadership and service to country. His name is Corey Stapleton, and I believe he is the best choice for Montana.
