Donald Anthony O'Leary, 77, of Sumner, Wash., passed away April 17, 2012, in Kenmore, Wash., at Mary's Villa Care Center.
Donald was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Savoy, Mont., the son of Sylvester and Elizabeth O'Leary. He married Delores Habertzer Dec. 26, 1960, in Havre at St. Jude Thaddeus Church. They moved to Tacoma, Wash., in 1961. Don worked as a meat cutter for Hygrade Company for 29 years.
He was a volunteer with Sarcoid network, the local food bank and a member of the Montana Knights of Columbus Council 1644 and St. Andrews Catholic Church of Sumner.
A rosary was held Thursday, April 26, at the Power Funeral Home in Sumner and the funeral Mass was held at 11 a. m. Friday, April 27, at St. Andrews Catholic Church of Sumner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Elizabeth O'Leary, and his brother, Michael O'Leary.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores of Kenmore, Wash. ; daughter, Mary Carlson; son, Michael O'Leary of Seattle; four grandchildren, Derek, Kassie, Michael and Shelby; one great-grandson, Dan; his brother, James (Alice) O'Leary of Havre; sister, Theresa (Anthony) Lirette of Lacey, Wash. ; and many nieces and nephews.
