A group of 11-12 year old boys from Havre competed in the Choteau Baseball Classic, June 24-26.
After losing a tough 3-1 Decision to the Great Falls Pride, who went undefeated and eventually won the Pool A bracket, the Havre team rallied to finish 2-1 in pool play with wins over Capital Sliders (12-1) and Valier (14-8). Havre was then placed in the Pool B bracket where they faced Choteau-Fairfield in the semifinals winning 14-5.
This set up a championship game with the Great Falls Americans.
In a hard fought game the Havre squad prevailed 7-6 winning the championship in Pool B. Overall the team finished with a 4-1 record for the weekend with their only blemish being to the overall champions Great Falls Pride.
Team members were, Bobby O'Leary, Ivar Aageson, Trey Murphy, Nik Keller, Dane Flammond, Jase Stokes, Nate Korb, Jake Sedahl, Robert Samson, and Jacob LaBrie.
