Havre DAV Van fund raising progress

For a while now, the Disabled American Veterans van program in Havre has been raising funds to replace the van used to transport veterans to Great Falls and Fort Harrison.

Contributions from the Havre Lions Club, Devon Energy, Havre Rifle and Pistol Club, Hill County Electric, Triangle Telephone and Women's Auxiliary of the local DAV have provided a substantial boost.

With additional contributions from other local individuals, businesses and groups, our current fund is over $10,000 on the way to meeting our goal of $14,500.

We also greatly appreciate the publicity provided by the Havre Daily News.

For those of you who have been thinking about how you can support our troops and express thanks to local veterans who served from World War II to the latest campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, what better way than to support the local DAV van? Not only will your contributions help local veterans, they are tax deductible.
