Marian Elizabeth (Seidel) Dumas
Marian Elizabeth (Seidel) Dumas died of natural causes on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Northern Montana Care Center in Havre. She was 85 years old.
Her memorial service will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, at 11 a. m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Havre, with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. Her burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorials in Marian's honor may be made to the charity of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Marian was born to Charles and Anna (Gust) Seidel on March 7, 1926, in Havre.
She attended school in Havre and received her nursing certificate from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Havre.
She married Forrest Dumas on Sept. 19, 1949, and two sons were born to that union — Clinton and Calvin.
Along with crocheting, Marian enjoyed playing Bingo at the Care Center, where she had resided since December 2009.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; an infant child; three sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by her sons, Clinton (Gwendolyn) Dumas of Havre and Calvin Dumas of Vernon, Ariz. ; sisters, Dorothy Cormany, Agnes Milner and Loretta Frederickson of Havre; brothers, Joe (Alma) Seidel of Havre and Ray (Jackie) Seidel of Olympia, Wash. ; brothers-in-law, Lynn (Linda) Dumas of Warrick, and Allan (Merrilee) Dumas of Dixonville, Alberta; numerous nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
