Matilda 'Tillie' Wasson

Matilda E. Wasson, 78, of Velva, N.D., died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at the Bethel Home in Williston, N.D.

Matilda married Dale H. Wasson Sr., on Aug. 26, 1951, in Turtle Lake. They made their home in Velva, N.D., where their son, Randy, was born. They lived in Velva before moving to Havre, where four more children were born. While in Havre, Tillie cleaned homes for elderly women, and she and Dale were avid bowlers. Dale's employment with Burlington Northern Railway brought them back to North Dakota in 1976.

Her funeral will be 2 p. m. Friday at Oak Valley Lutheran Church in Velva.
