The Havre Ice Hawks High School team had a busy weekend. the Ice Hawks played four games total, two against Glasgow/Miles City and two against the Glacier. Avalanche this past weekend at the Havre. Ice Dome.
The Ice Hawks went 2-2 on the weekend splitting with each team. On Friday night the Ice Hawks lost 5-2, but came back strong on Saturday winning decisively 7-2 against Glasgo

The Ice Hawks won again on Saturday beating Glacier in a close game 3-2. The Ice Hawks and Glacier had another close game on Sunday morning, but this time the result was different and the Ice Hawks lost 4-3.
On Friday night, both of Havre's scores came in the first period. Nate Welch scored at the 10:32 mark and Tim Welch put a puck in at 2:32. The visitors broke a 2-2 tie with two goals in the second and one in third to win 5-2. Joey DeVries saved 17 shots on goal in the loss.
Playing Glasgow-Miles City again on Saturday morning, the Ice Hawks dominated on on offense. Havre led 6-0 by the time the opponent got on the board in the third period, while DeVries stopped 14 shots on goal as the Ice Hawk defense also played well.
Alex Hanson scored twice for Havre, including a power play goal. Ethan Hettinger, Dustin Armstrong, Nate Welch, Tim Welch and Dane Linquist all found the net as well.
Saturday night, the Ice Hawks topped the Glacier Avalanche with Ned Malone scoring the game-winning goal on a third-period power play. Havre scored twice in the first period on goals by Linquist and Hettinger, but Glacier evened things up at 2-2 in the second, before Malone's game-winner in the third. DeVries was great between the pipes, saving 29 Glacier shots.
The two teams met again Sunday with Glacier getting the one-goal edge, 4-3.
DeVries was powerful in the net, saving 37 shots. Hettinger, Jon Stoner and Kyle Konesky scored goals for the Ice Hawks.
Havre's next games will be Jan. 29-30 in Bozeman. The Ice Hawks are back at home at the Havre Ice Dome Jan. 14-15 against the Bozeman Ice Dogs.
