Local day care facilities excel at immunization

As the Hill County Day Care Immunization reviewer, I think it is important to recognize five of our local day care facilities that are excelling through their dedication to childhood immunizations.

All of our local licensed day cares, 24 all together, have to go through a review process each year to make sure that their children are up to date according to the required immunization schedule. The first quarter of this year, seven day cares were reviewed and five of those have been awarded a certificate of excellence from the state because they had at least 90 percent of their children up to date on immunizations.

This is a very exciting award, and I am very hopeful that as the reviews continue more of these certificates will make their way to Hill County. The effort child-care providers put into keeping our kids safe and healthy needs to be honored and recognized by everyone. The number one priority of day care providers is the children they watch, and the following day cares are excelling:
