9C Girls: HLP 51, North Star 47 (3rd)

For the second time in three days, the Hays-Lodge Pole girls basketball team pulled off a thrilling victory over North Star. On Saturday at the Havre High gymnasium, the Thunderbirds beat the Knights 51-47 in the 9C girls consolation game. Anita Denny scored 18 points for HLP and Shelby Lipp led the Knights with 10 points.

HLP is still alive for a Northern C tournament berth with Saturday's win. If Box Elder beats Chinook tonight, the T-Birds will earn a Monday night challenge game.
