Area girls earn Class C hoops honors

So many of the girls Hi-Line basketball players shined this season, and their skills weren't overlooked.

Coming out of the 9C, the Box Elder Bears, Hays-Lodge Pole Thunderbirds, North Star Knights, Big Sandy Pioneers, Chinook Sugarbeeters, and Box Elder Bears all grabbed post-season honors.

Grabbing District 9C All-Conference honors for the 2010-2011 season for the Bears was junior guard Aricka Wolf Chief and senior guard Megan Parker. And for the Thunderbirds, senior forward Anita Denny and junior forward Kristie Runsabove grabbed honors as well.

The Knights' junior center Shelby Lipp and senior guard Jordan Spicher were also honored, while senior forward Mackenzie Jenkins and freshman guard Molly Herron were honored for the Pioneers. And for the Beeters, junior guard Taryn Norby and freshman center Makhayla Farmer were also honored with all conference nods.

But a few girls also eanred Class C All-State honors. Lipp, Norby and Wolf Chief all garnered all state honors.

The 9C also got an extra nod as Charlie Robinson, head coach of the Beeters was named District 9C coach of the year in hist first year at Chinook.
