Daniel Denny, 65, passed away April 16, 2011, in Great Falls, Mont., due to complications from diabetes.
His wake service began Sunday and continue through Monday, with his funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, with all services at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Denny Family Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Daniel was born July 22, 1945, in Rocky Boy, Mont., to William Denny Sr. and Hattie Oats. Daniel was raised in Rocky Boy. He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He had many jobs such as welding, carpentry and worked as a court processor.
Daniel also served in the United States Army. He married Georgia Black Wolf, and to this union, six children were born. Daniel had 13 grandchildren. Daniel loved his children and grandchildren very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James "Tuffy" Earl, Bill Jr., Sherman and Richard Denny and an infant sister.
He is survived by his children, Darrell (Chantell) Black Wolf, Mike (Joyce) Black Wolf all of Hays, Mont., Larissa Denny (Kurt Eagleman), Dara Denny (Albert Snell),Golden Eagle Denny, Danson Denny and Jerid Denny, all of Rocky Boy, Mont .; sisters, Helen Louis Capps of Fort Hall, Idaho, Hope Denny of Rocky Boy, Mont., Winona Denny of Anchorage, Alaska, Rhonda Denny of Blackfoot, Idaho, Caroline St. Marks of Fort Hall, Idaho, Amy Writing Bird and Ruby Stump all of Rocky Boy, Mont .; brothers, Hartford Denny of Rocky Boy, Mont., Grant Denny of Pocatello, Idaho, Willy Denny, Kenny Writing Bird of Rocky Boy, Mont., Alex Red Crow, George Saddleback, Jerry Saddleback, and Ron Lameman all of Alberta, Canada.
