Local Golf Report: The ladies about to get their turn

The men's

league golf season is now and high gear, and soon it will be the ladies turn.

The women will have a ladies league fun

night on Thursday night starting at 5:30 p.m. at Prairie Farms Golf Course. The

regular season for the ladies begins the following Thursday.

Prairie Farms will also host a club demo

day on Saturday. The chance to demo new

and different clubs will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in men's league action at

Prairie Farms, both nights beat the weather last week.

On Tuesday night, Korb Construction took

home high-team honors with 23 points. The team is composed of Jason

Christenson, Pat Foster, Matt Hedstrom and Dan Wirtzberger. Trent Normandy and

Mike Sherrill shared low gross for the night, with each golfer firing rounds of

even-par 36. Christenson was low net with a 27.5.

On Wednesday night, Michelob Light scored

24 points to earn high team for the evening. Michelob is made up of Murray

Barkus, Bruce Normandy, Tom Baker and Tom Adams. Chase Hillman was low gross

after shooting an even-par 36 and Dennis Murphy was low net with a 32.

The tournament season also begins this

weekend with the annual Havre Wrestling Club scramble at Prairie Farms Golf

Course in Havre.
