The Havre High Blue Ponies are at the tail end of a three game home stand, and as they say, they may have saved the best for last.
Tonight at the Havre High gymnasium the Central A Ponies will host the Class AA Great Falls Bison at 5:30 p.m. And sitting at 3-5 overall and 2-3 in league, the Ponies are embarking on their third home game in four days.
"We want to go in and compete," Havre High head coach Andy Smith said. "They (Bison) have an awfully good team and they are athletic. They are going to press us, they are a lot like Browning, and they like to press and like to use their athleticism. We know we have to play well if we want to compete with them."
The Ponies just suffered a 70-48 loss to the Indians on Friday, so HHS knows just how dangerous a high-tempo offense and full court defense can be.
