Verna Faith The Boy, 43, died Saturday morning, May 14, 2011, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, from liver failure.
Her wake service began Saturday at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. She was moved up to the Catholic Church on Sunday afternoon, and a rosary service was held at the Catholic Church Sunday at 7 p. m., with her funeral 10 a. m. today. Burial will follow at the Eagelman family cemetery.
Verna was born Feb. 25, 1968, in Havre, Mont., to Vernon and Faith (Eagleman) The Boy. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy and obtained her GED and continued with her educations at Stone Child College.
Verna was a free spirit, who enjoyed music, trivia, cooking and had a knack for housekeeping. Her only fault was that she didn't do windows. Verna had many friends. She was a humorous person with a quick wit and had a daily joke for everybody. Her hand-covered giggle was known to all, and her beautiful smile was most contagious.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Faith Eagleman; her brother, Victor Peter The Boy; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Verna is survived by her sons, Elliott James The Boy of Great Falls, Mont., Jerre Wade The Boy and Joseph The Boy, both of Rocky Boy, Mont., Jesse James Bear of New Town, N.D., Victory Faith Rosette of Rocky Boy, Mont., Zoey Grace Stanley of Great Falls, Mont., and Peyton Belle Rosette of Box Elder, Mont. ; her father, Vernon The Boy of Box Elder, Mont.
Others who survive her are her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Paulette Pipe of Rocky Boy, Mont., Robin (Neal) Rosette of Box Elder, Mont., Vincent (Dill) Eagleman of Rocky Boy, Mont., and James (Julie Bloomingdale) The Boy of Rocky Boy, Mont. ; maternal aunts Pamela Stiffarm of Rocky Boy, Mont., Renita Potts of Hobbema, Alta., maternal uncles, Kelly (Violet) Eagleman and Jonathan (Eleanor) Eagleman all of Rocky Boy, Mont. ; paternal aunts, Mary Temple of Great Falls, Mont.. Francis Russette of Rocky Boy, Mont., Wilma Morsette of Rocky Boy, Mont., and Gert Werle of Hays; and last great-uncle, Joe and Susie Brown of Hays.
