Glenda Miller Zemke
Glenda Miller Zemke passed away early Tuesday, Dec. 21, after a prolonged illness, in the company of her family.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1944, to Glen and Katherine Miller in Havre, Mont. She attended Havre High School and Montana State University-Northern, and moved to Lompoc, Calif., to pursue a career in medical transcription.
There she met Zeke (Daniel) Zemke. They married in 1980 and took up residence in Mountain Green, Utah.
They had a son, Peter, in 1983, and welcomed a daughter-in-law, Cindy, in 2009. Glenda remained certified and active in transcription, even after her retirement from Ogden Regional Medical Center in 2008, and was an active lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She enjoyed friends, butterflies, lighthouses, travel, the outdoors, television and reading.
Glenda is survived by her brother, Leo Miller; and her sisters, Edna Stimson and Margie McMahon.
She loved and was loved by many, and her beacon of light will be sorely missed.
Rosary was held Monday Dec. 27, and funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.
