Richard Lee Turner Sr., 76, died at his home, Sunday, July 10, 2011, in Rocky Boy. His wake service will begin today, and his funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, all at Rocky Boy Catholic Church. His burial will follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Richard was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Havre, Mont., to Joseph Goose and Esther (Noimee) Turner. He was raised and educated in Rocky Boy. He entered into the United States Army and served 7 years 11 months and 7 days. until he was honorably discharged. After his discharge, he returned to Rocky Boy and worked as a self-employed contractor. He worked in Rocky Boy and in the Southwest United States.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest daughter, Tamera Turner; and one brother, Lawrence Turner.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Lanna Turner of Rocky Boy; his son Richard Turner Jr .; of Rocky Boy; one grandson, Dustin Turner of Rocky Boy; one sister, Frieda Louis of Havre, Mont .; and a niece, Denise Windy Boy of Havre, Mont .; Denise's kids, Tanna, Jaime, Anthony and Mose Windy Boy, all of Havre; along with many good friends, John Edwin Meyers, Tim Nault, Butch Nault and David Meyers; and many other friends and relatives.
