Big changes in the Super 15

There's no question, from top to bottom, and as far as depth and sheer numbers go, Class AA basketball reigns supreme in Montana. But that isn't to say programs from other classifications in Montana can't compete at the same level.

And this winter is proving that it isn't just the AA's that have the cream of the crop when it comes to boys and girls basketball in the Treasure State.

In the fourth Havre Daily News Super 15 polls, the Columbia Falls Wildcats, a dominant Class A boys power have climbed to the top of the poll. The Wildcats have been one of the premier programs in the state for the last 10 years and they are showing no signs of slowing down. The Wildcats are the first non-AA team to top either Super 15 Poll, as Bozeman and Billings West fall down a bit. Also this week on the boys side, Butte Central dropped all the way from No. 6 to No. 14, while Sidney fell out of the poll and Malta moved back in.

On the girls side, the top two teams remain the same in Billings West and Bozeman, but Class A Sidney moved to No. 3. Fairfield, Malta, Shepherd and Bigfork hold strong for the Class B ranks, while Southwest A's Dillon dropped out of the poll and fellow Southwest A power Anaconda moved back in at No. 14.
