Blue Ponies earn Central A honors

It might have

been an up-and-down season for the Havre High girls softball team, but the year

didn't come without some outstanding individual performances by several Pony

players.

The Central A released its 2011

All-Conference list on Wednesday afternoon and four Havre High players made the

cut.

Leading the way for Havre is sophomore

pitcher Davee McLeod who was named Central A First-Team All-Conference. McLeod

started every game for the Ponies on the mound this season and carried the

pitching workload. She also was one of Havre's top hitters and led the team in

batting average for the season.

The Ponies also had three players earn

second-team honors.

Andrea Nault, Dylann Williams and Chelsea

Nottingham all made the list for the season. Nault played well in the outfield

for the Ponies and was consistent at the plater, while Williams was outstanding

in the infield for the Ponies and was another of Havre's leading hitters.

Nottingham was the catalyst behind the plate for the Ponies, starting every

game at catcher.

The four all-conference selections was the

most for Havre in one season in some time.

There were 10 players named first-team

all-conference with six earning Class A All-State honors. Those players

included Belgrade's Aly Cygan, Justine Taylor and Melissa Bell, Butte Central's

Quinn Peoples, Lewistown's Allie Adams and Livingston's Alex Anderson.

Overall, Lewistown had seven all-conference

selections, while Belgrade had six. Butte Central had five players selected as

did Livingston.
