William Joel Hinkle, 64, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, from a heart attack. His memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2011 at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel, with Michael Dahle officiating. A fellowship will be held immediately after at the Tip It. Memorial contributions in William's honor may be made to the American Heart Association. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

William was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Great Falls, Mont., to Al Cash and Lorraine (Christianson). He was raised by Robert Hinkle in Havre, where he attended schools. He married Linda Bretzke in 1968 and had two daughters. The couple divorced in 1998. He married Debbie England in 2004 in Havre, Mont. William worked in Havre for Northern Montana College in the maintenance department. He retired from the college.

He enjoyed taking long drives to the Bear Paws, being in the outdoors hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes and camping. He enjoyed people and was a hard worker. His greatest joy were his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hinkle; his brother, Mark Hinkle; and his sister, Barbara Grey.

William is survived by his wife, Debbie Hinkle of Havre, Mont.; his two daughters, Teresa (Raul) Rangel of San Antonio, Texas, and Kari (Dany) Garcia of Petaluma, Calif.; his stepdaughter, Kari (Tony) McFarlan of Missoula, Mont.; stepson, Cory (Melissa) Hoover of Denver; brothers, Dennis (Linda) Hinkle of Havre, Mont., Warren "Red" (Karen) Lumsden of Washington, and Raymond Lunsden of Twain Heart, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
