Noel Elizabeth (Odenkirchen) Frost

Noel Elizabeth (Odenkirchen) Frost was born Dec. 23. 1941, to William A. Odenkirchen and Barbara Cole-Odenkirchen in Los Angeles. She was guided by angels into paradise on July 26, 2011, with her children by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 5, at 2 p. m. at the Community Center at the Great Northern Fairgrounds.

Noel was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Noel enjoyed giving to others. She spent many hours making soup and other meals for those in need and taking them to the local food bank. She also enjoyed volunteering at church making suppers, and she made beautiful blankets for the newborns at the hospital, children at the domestic violence shelter, and for those in need at the Giveaway House.

Noel was an extremely talented artist who shared her work with those she loved. She worked on art projects at all times She made mosaic birdhouses, painted landscapes and created priceless scrapbooks and cards for her children and grandchildren. She also had a green thumb and always had plants and flowers around her house; her garden was one of the most beautiful gardens in town. She loved a good garage sale both going to and putting them on. She also loved watching and feeding the birds outside her house.

Noel was strong and made many sacrifices for her loved ones. She faced many challenges and demonstrated courage in her everyday life. Despite many hardships in her life, Noel always had a passion for life and touched many people's lives with her kindness, strength and loving nature.

Noel is survived by her husband, Delbert Frost, of Havre, and her children, Tom Hanzlik of New Mexico, David Bulock, Reno, Nev., Steven Hanzlik, Havre, Dennis (Suzy) Hanzlik, Douglasville, Ga., Michelle (Todd) Thomas of Germany, Roxanne Ross, Helena, and Donnel (Leland) Standiford, Chinook; grandchildren, Kirsten, Kyle and Kurtis Bulock; Madison, Isabelle, and Kendall Hanzlik; T. J. Thomas; Ayreanna Ross; Adrianna, Olivia, Oliver, Cooper and Chyler Standiford; Elone, Celote and Little Larry Hanzlik; four sisters, Mercedes Clayton and Kyra Krulicki, both of California, Dagmar Huffman of Colorado, and Debrah Anne Drake, Lubbock Texas; and brother, Paul Odenkirchen of California.

She was preceeded in death by her mother, Barbara, her dear aunt, Margaret, and her brother, Bill Odenkirchen.

We love you, and will miss you terribly.
