Jo Anne (Sterrett) English 83, passed away at Northern Montana Hospital, on Dec. 31, 2010, of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

Jo Anne was born in Havre on Oct. 28, 1927, to Roy and Elizabeth (Dittrich) Sterrett. She was raised on the Sterrett Dairy southwest of Havre and graduated from Havre High School.

Jo Anne married Eddie English, and they raised their four children in Havre. Jo Anne loved visiting with her friends, enjoyed baking and cooking for family, friends and neighbors. Jo Anne always had time for any of her friends to stop by to chat. She lived at the Sweet Nursing Home for the last two years and enjoyed her new friends and the excellent care she received.

Jo Anne is survived by children Ted (Lori) English of Genesee, Idaho, Leasa (John) Curtin of Snohomish, Wash., Libby (Frank) Granier of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Greg (Carolyn) English of Havre; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie, in August 1988, brothers Jack, Dick and Howard Sterrett.
