Margaret Lillian Reynolds, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church, with Pastor John Chapman officiating.

A fellowship luncheon will be held immediately after the service at the church. Memorial contributions in Margaret's honor may be made to Northern Montana Care Center Chapel Fund or to Bear Paw Hospice c/o NMHCF, P.O. Box 1231 Havre, MT 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Margaret was born Nov. 1, 1927, to Ralph and Eva (Baker) Bowman in Conrad, Mont. She was raised in Valier and graduated high school. She married Norman Henry Reynolds June 22, 1946, in Great Falls, Mont. The couple lived in Valier and Dutton and summered in Saskatchewan, Canada, where Norman farmed. They moved to Kremlin and farmed. In 1970. they moved to the old Wilson place and lived there until they retired from farming after Norman died in 1995. Margaret moved to Havre in 1995 and moved into the Care Center in December 2006.

Margaret was a 4-H leader and taught sewing to many students. She was a wonderful gardener and could grow anything. She made numerous quilts and loved giving them to others. Stamp collecting and decorative eggs were a few of her hobbies. She was an amazing cook and was a true farm/ranch wife. She taught Sunday school and was Norman's soulmate and life helper. They truly loved and cared for one another.

The winter of 1965 Peggy accepted the job of census taker, which took her over wintery roads. She told of how strangers came to her assistance when she had car troubles. She loved meeting and visiting with people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Henry Reynolds in 1995; one grandson, Aaron Ryan Huestis in 1993; and one sister, Evelyn Wipperman; and two brothers, Howard and Greg Bowman.

Margaret is survived by her children, daughters, Kathleen (Cody) Pollington of Great Falls, Mont., Kimberly (Larry) Huestis of Sheridan, Wyo., and Christine Kapperud of Havre, Mont.; sons, Everett (Wanda) Reynolds of Missoula, Mont., and Elliott (Denise) Reynolds of Kremlin, Mont.; sisters, Bonnie Martin of Great Falls, Mont., Barbara (Bob) Passow of Lewistown, Mont., and Edna (Herb) Garman of Conrad, Mont.; two brothers, Joseph Bowman of Cedar Edge, Colo., and Douglas (Debbie) Bowman of Yearlington, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
