Local gridders get Shrine Game nod

Several prep football standouts from the Hi-Line have earned one of Montana's highest honors for high school football.

The rosters for the 2011 East/West Shrine Game were released on Wednesday afternoon, and among the players selected to the East squad were two Chinook stars and a Harlem standout.

Chinook's Tyler Molyneaux, one of Montana's leading rushers this past fall, was selected to the East team at running back, while teammate Josh Jones earned a spot on the offensive line. Also make the cut was Harlem linebacker Tom Lamebull.

Havre High didn't have any players selected to the starting roster, but Blue Pony senior Josh Salapich was selected as an alternate on the offensive line for the East team.

The East squad will be coached by Billings Skyview head man Ron Lebsock, while the West team is led by former Havre High and current Bozeman head coach Troy Purcell.

The 2011 Shrine Game will be held July 16 in Laurel.
