Ice Hawks off until January after win in Whitefish

After five losses and a pair of cancelled games, the Havre Ice Hawks high school hockey team closed out 2010 with some excitement.

On Sunday, the Ice Hawks got a game-winning goal from Jonathan Austin as time expired to beat the Glacier Avalanche 6-5 in Whitefish. The win gave Havre a split on the weekend and put its overall record 1-5 this season. The Ice Hawks lost to Glacier on Saturday.

The Ice Hawks are now off until Jan. 7 when they host a high school hockey tournament. The Havre Tournament will run Jan. 7-9 at the Havre Ice Dome.
