Ponies pin Lewistown

In their final match of 2010, the Havre High wrestling team went to Lewistown and put on a dominating performance.

On Tuesday night, HHS toppled Central A rival Lewistown 50-31 in dual action. The Ponies got a huge 6-0 win from junior Eli Hinebauch at 152 pounds. Hinebauch was taking on top-ranked 145-pounder Rex Martin. Lewistown also gave up forfeits at 119 pounds, 189 pounds and 215 pounds on Tuesday night.

In the new Class A rankings, which were released on Tuesday night, the Ponies are not ranked No. 1 for the first time in over a year. Belgrade and Havre switched places this week after the Panthers finished second at last weekend's CMR Holiday Classic in Great Falls, while the Ponies finished fourth.

HHS has 11 ranked wrestlers this week, led by Duell Stadel who is unbeaten and ranked No. 1 at 119 pounds. Junior Casey Schaub is also on top for Havre, ranked first at 171. Freshman Nate Kennelly is ranked fourth at 105, Gilbert Bara is fourth at 112 and Zack Smith is fifth at 130.

Dillon Seely is off to a great start this season and is ranked second at 135 pounds, Hinebauch is third at 152, Kameron Pribyl is fifth at 160, Jared Ruttkofsky is fifth at 189, Josh Salapich is third at 215 and freshman Tyler Adams is fourth at 275.
