Quiet day for Mariani, Titans

The Tennessee Titans are on a slide, despite the contributions from former Havre High star Marc Mariani.

On Sunday, the Titans lost their fifth straight game, falling 17-6 to the Jackson Jaguars in Nashville.

Because of the low-scoring affair, Mariani was rendered fairly quite returning kicks. He returned two kickoffs for 36 yards, and one punt for just four yards. He also had four fair catches and two touchbacks.

Mariani came into the day leading the AFC in punt returns and was third in the NFL in kickoff returns.

Mariani and the Titans (5-7) will have a short turnaround as they face the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night in Nashville. The game will be aired nationally on the NFL Network.
