While it was the hosting Havre Blue Ponies that dominated this weekends Havre Invite, two Hi-Line programs also saw good things out of their grapplers.
Both the 9C Chinook Sugarbeeters and 10C Chester/J-I Hawks attended the Havre Invite, which was held Friday-Saturday at the Havre High gymnasium.
Both Class C squads brought just a handful of wrestlers, but saw very good production. The Beeters landed in the No. 5 spot with 104 points and the Hawks finished seventh with 55.
Chinook earned two individual champions and a total of six top four finishers.
Juniors Ben Stroh and Jorrell Jones both grabbed No. 1 finishes. Stroh (189) earned a fall in 3:41 over Havre's Jared Ruttkofsky and Jones (215) earned a 2-1 decision over Cut Bank's Brock Calvi.
Angelo Flores (112), Geoff Qualls (119) and Cord Anderson (189) all grabbed third place finishes for the Beeters, and Wyatt Brandal (125) finished in fourth.
For the Hawks, it was junior Leonard Pugsley who grabbed the highest finish on Saturday. Pugsley (152) finished in second place after falling to Havre's Eli Hinebauch in the finals.
Shalon Norick (285) earned a third place finish for the Hawks, and Ethan Wolery (215) finished fourth, while Cameron Peterson (160) landed a sixth place finish.
