Help Havre grads' band make it big

Editor:

Hello, Havre. I'm hoping for a little bit of Hi-Line help. I grew up in Havre and graduated from HHS in 1998. I'm now living in the San Francisco area and playing in a local band. Another member of the band, Mike Rawlinson, graduated from HHS in 1996.

Our band was selected from hundreds of other entrants as a top 10 finalist to open an upcoming concert in San Francisco.

This concert would be the biggest show we've ever played. Now that we're in the top 10 we need people to vote for us. So that is where the Hi-Line can help us. It takes two seconds and doesn't require you to enter any information. Just go to http://www.live105.radio.com/, click on the Vote For Your Favorite Local Band tab on the left side, then select our band, New Cadence.

If we get the most votes we'll be opening for Smashing Pumpkins, My Chemical Romance, Phoenix, The Black Keys and Broken Bells.

Thanks so much for the Montana support. We really appreciate it and will be sure to let everyone know the results.
