Betty Jean LaMere, 62, died of natural causes at her home in Rocky Boy Nov. 29, 2010.
Her wake service will begin Wednesday afternoon, with her funeral service 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Rocky Boy Catholic Church, with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at Billy LaMere Ranch where she will be laid to rest beside her mother.
Betty was born Sept. 5, 1948, at Fort Belknap, Mont., to Victor and Josephine (St. Marks) Lamere. She attended schools in Rocky Boy, Busby and Havre.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine St. Marks; her father, Victor LaMere; brothers, Eugene LaMere, Melvin LaMere , Victor LaMere, Jr. and Robert Lee LaMere; and one granddaughter, Saquira Ann Laverdure.
Betty is survived by her two sons: Paul LaMere of Montana and Claude (Shannon) Lamere of Rocky Boy, Mont.;. five grandchildren, Austin, Claude Jr., Elias, Paul Jr. and Shyann; one brother, Billy LaMere; three sisters, Victoria Demontiney, Mildred LaMere and Judy Parker, all of Rocky Boy, Mont.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and relatives who loved her very much and will miss her.
