A very public 'thank you'

Please accept this letter as my very public thank you to Brenda Top Sky Gardipee for her mobilization of the Indian Child Welfare Act Program to help us get our daughter home. We were losing faith with "the system" until she took a leadership role and was able to push all the right buttons.

A special thanks to the Chippewa Cree Tribal Council, the Tribal Attorneys and the Chippewa Cree Tribal Court. Finally, I would like to recommend that Melody Bernard Whitford and Wilma Jean Tyner receive recognition for the fine job they did going into a foreign jurisdiction with little cooperation from local law enforcement and Michigan Social Welfare workers and getting the job done.

Our daughter thanks you and our family thanks you. She is so happy to be home with her family.
