Ruth Humbert, age 96, died of natural causes Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Kirkwood Funeral Home and Hi-Line Crematory are in charge of arrangements.

She married Clarence (Butch) Humbert October 15, 1936, in Kenmare. They resided in northeast Montana until moving to Malta in 1942. During her time in Malta, she worked at Buttrey Foods alongside her husband. She also worked at Lang's Café and at Stine's Nite Club.
Ruth enjoyed bowling until Malta lost the bowling lanes. She also enjoyed playing cards with her family. She always liked art and in later years took up oil painting and had paintings on display at her apartment.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years in 2007; son, Curtis, in 1968; and daughter, Janice Stine, in 2003.
