Jonathan "John" Neiffer, 43, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at his home in Glendive.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Church of Christ in Glendive, with Jim Squires officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive.
Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Jonathan was born on Dec. 17, 1966, in Glendive, the son of Arthur and Cora Lee (Swart) Neiffer. He attended elementary and junior high school in Glendive, graduating from Dawson County High School with the Class of 1986. John attended Montana State University in Bozeman, graduating with degrees in business and computers in 2006.
John was always an entrepreneur, trying his skills in different areas.
John enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and hunting.
He was an excellent chef and worked in various restaurants in the area and in Yellowstone National Park.
John was a caring father who loved his two children, Anthony and J.J. He was always able to remain positive throughout the hardships that he endured. He was looking forward to his latest business venture, which involved providing wheelchair tables to help the handicapped.
Survivors include, his parents, Arthur and Cora Neiffer; his two sons, Anthony and Jonathan Jr. (J.J.) Neiffer, all of Glendive; his two brothers, Steven Neiffer and his wife Brenda of Havre, Mont., Stuart Neiffer of Glendive; and one niece and one nephew.
