Beverly Ann (Bolken) Thomas passed away Jan. 12, 2010, at Corona Regional Medical Center. Beverly Ann (Bolken) Thomas was born in Arengard, N.D., on May 31, 1934, to Blanche (Hanson) and Olai Bolken. In 1936, her family moved to Whitefish, Mont., where she was raised. She graduated from Whitefish High School in 1952. She was on a ski team, active in Pep Club and Theta Rho Girl's School, was sports editor of the school paper and was active in Luther League. She moved to Havre, Mont., where she worked for a short time and then went to Denver and worked for Bell Telephone. She met Richard Dale Thomas, and they were married March 12, 1954, at Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish, Mont. They made their home in California, where she worked for Sears and Collins Radio Co. They have lived in Corona, Calif., for a number of years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was very active with Ladys' Quilting Group. Beverly is survived by her husband, Richard; sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Garrahan of Havre, Mont., and Oris (Bill) Beaver of Flower Mound, Texas; brother, Wayne (Karla) Bolken of Havre, Mont .; 10 special nieces and nephews; three grandchildren, Jason Divine of Pleasant Hills, Mo., Kimberly McConnell of Kimberling City, Mo., and Tania Meadows of Reeds Springs, Mo .; and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepdaughter, Sandra Screwese, who she helped raise. Funeral services were held at Peace Lutheran Church, Corona, Calif., on Saturday, Jan. 16, with Pastor Mark Allert officiating. Burial was held on Monday, Jan 19, in Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona, Calif. Funeral arrangements were handled by Thomas Miller Mortuary, 1118 E. 6th St., Corona, Calif. (951) 737-3244.
