Ralph Joseph Pegar, 53, died Tuesday evening near his Big Sandy farm from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Friday. At St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Big Sandy. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will in Big Sandy Cemetery with luncheon to follow. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester. Ralph was born March 15, 1957, in Havre. He was raised at Big Sandy and graduated from B.S.H.S. in 1976. He studied mechanics at Billings Vo-Tech. He came back to Big Sandy to be a working partner with his brother, Timothy, on the family farm. He met his soulmate, Karen Pelley, in 1985, and they have enjoyed a loving relationship for the past 25 years. Ralph was an avid fan of Big Sandy High School sporting events and rarely missed a game. He loved farming and attending auction sales. At home, he enjoyed watching western movies and working at his computer. He loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Rosie (Diemert) Pegar. Ralph is survived by his loving companion, Karen Pelley Pegar of Big Sandy; five brothers, Roderick Pegar of Kenmore, Wash., Duane (Jackie) Pegar of Billings, Timothy (Barb) Pegar of Havre, Clyde (Shannon) Pegar of Sacramento, Calif., and David (Nancy) Pegar of Havre; one sister, Victoria Nameth of Rhinebeck, N.Y.; 12 nephews and nieces; and four aunts, Eleanor and Rena Wendland, Marcia Diemert and Ruth Pegar.
