CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL WHALEN obituary HAVRE

Christopher Michael Whalen, 22, of Havre, died March 6, 2010, at St. Alexia Hospital in Bismarck, N.D., from injuries sustained from a workrelated accident. Christopher was born Oct. 3, 1987, in Havre to Florence Wilson and Gary Whalen. He attended school in Havre at Lincoln- McKinley, Havre Middle School and graduated from Havre High School. Chris loved skateboarding, camping, swimming, hiking, traveling and listening to music and was a car enthusiast. He was a friend to everyone who knew him and was a devoted father. He was always there if you needed to talk. He was the life of the party whereever he was, and he knew how to have a good time. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Roy and Sybil Wilson and Lawrence Whalen. Chris is survived by his mother, Florence Wilson of Havre; his father, Gary Whalen of Canada; his significant other, Kyra Gerber, and his infant son, Brennan Michael, both of Havre; his sister, Jennifer Whalen from Pendleton, Ore .; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be 7 p.m., Thursday at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home in Havre. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 12, 2010, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church of Havre, with Pastor Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre.
