Great Lakes flight was a great experience

I have just completed a holiday trip to visit my daughter and her family in Atlanta, Ga. On my previous trips there, I usually took the Northwest (now Delta) flight from Great Falls and changed aircraft in Minneapolis. Despite a one-month advance in looking for tickets, there were no seats available for my choice of departure dates on this flight. So, I decided to investigate flying out of Havre on Great Lakes Airlines. I am writing to tell the Hi-Line community that I had a wonderful experience flying Great Lakes from Havre to Denver (then connecting with another airline to Atlanta). The ground crew and flight crew were very courteous and professional. Additionally, there was a considerable cost savings in ticket price as well as some other savings, such as transportation to Great Falls and possible motel and parking fees had I taken my usual route. The flight I took stops in Billings and Gillette and still takes only a little over two hours. I felt like it was my own chartered plane for part of the flight as I was the only passenger. In talking to the lead pilot on my return to Havre, he said that he didn't recall taking a passenger from Denver all the way to Havre before. How unfortunate. Our local governments and business communities have worked hard to maintain Essential Air Service to Havre, and I think we need to make use of it. I know I will again. Sue Swan Havre
