Doreen Miller Obituary

Doreen Miller, 78, went to be with our Lord on November 10, 2008, following a brief illness in Billings.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and sister will be truly missed by all. She was born Doreen Barker in Bismarck, North Dakota, was raised in Glasgow, Montana and raised her family in Havre, Montana. Our mother was always there for her family, friends and the Havre community. Doreen worked as a business manager for most of her career and in her later years was an active volunteer dedicated to the Havre Senior Citizens Center, as well as numerous other community groups. She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Beck; brother, Chris Barker; children, Connie St. John and husband Pete, Debra Walston, Greg Dykstra and wife JoAnn, and Wayne Dykstra and wife Liz, as well as five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald (Tobe) Miller, her brother, Denny Barker, a grandson and a great grandson. A memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 303 6th Avenue, in Havre, on November 21,2008 at 12:30 PM. A reception will be held following, at the Havre Senior Center. Donations can be made to the Havre Senior Citizens Center in lieu of flowers. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
