Robert (Bob) Burns McIntosch, 86, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, of natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. No services will take place per Bob's request. Ashes will be scattered at a later date on the farm land he tended, sweated for and loved all of his life. Bob was born north of Havre to Alex and Ella McIntosh on Aug. 14, 1920. He was the second child of eight children. He was very proud to have lived north of Havre all of his life and to have lived only five miles from his birth place. He was educated in the north country schools and farmed and ranched all of his life. Bob had three children Rosella (Rosie); Burn Ace (Burnie) and Don. Bob loved and was proud of many things in his life: family and friends, farming and ranching, John Deere equipment, gardening, Coca Cola, pumpkin pie with gravy, every “Happy” dog he had, and his Scottish Heritage. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy McIntosh; and sister, Martha Smith. Bob is survived by his children, Rosie (Dick) Mohr of Cornell, Wis., Burnie (Charlie) Inman of Havre and Don (Liz) McIntosh of Havre; brothers, Rodrick McIntosh of Pensacola, Fla., John McIntosh of North Havre and Stuart McIntosh of Havre; sisters, Albertine Bosworth of Havre and Gladys Hulett of Havre; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial has been established at the Northern Ag Research Center 3848 Fort Circle Havre, MT 59501 or to a memorial of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
