Military memorial services for the interment of the cremains will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2 at Highland Cemetary in Havre. Lauren Curtiss "Jug" Keene died at age 82. He was born in St. Paul, Minn. To Lauren and Marie (Nelson) Keene on March 6, 1924. He enlistd in the U. S. Army Air Corp Eighth Air Force and servid in World Wal II flying 35 combat missions from England over Europe. He received the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters. He returned to Montana after his honorable discharge. Jug lived almost his entire life in Box Elder and Havre. He worked for the State of Montana in the state liquor division and retired in 1988. He was a devout Seattle Mariners and Atlanta Braves fan. Keene's obituary was published in the Havre Daily News on Sept. 1, 2006.
