LIVINGSTON Scott Conway Greear, 54, died Saturday, May 12, 2007.
Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Dale Yurkovic presiding. Scott was born Feb. 7, 1953, to James Edward and Dorothy Mae (Conway) Greear in Livingston. Growing up on the family farm nurtured his lifelong interest in agriculture and the outdoors. He was an active member of the FFA program throughout high school and enjoyed spending his summers working at local ranches, including the 63 Ranch. Scott earned many belt buckles by successfully competing in rodeos in his free time. Following high school, Scott earned his associate degree in mechanics at the Helena Vo- Tech. He married Marlinda Youdan in 1974, and had four daughters. He strived to do the best he could for his family and the love for his girls remained in his heart the rest of his days. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Colleen “Buttons” Greear. Survivors include his daughters, Stacy, Melanie and Valerie Greear of Phoenix, and Jackie Hoglund of Chandler, Ariz.; brother, Forrest “Chip” Greear of Livingston; sister, Teddy Jo Bowers of Missoula; three grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews. Memorial donations can be directed to the FFA Program at the Park County High School in Livingston. Arrangements are made by Franzen-Davis Funeral Home.
