ROCKY BOY Stanley Charles Eagleman, 58, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.
His wake service began Tuesday night at the Eagleman residence on Haystack Loop. Traditional services were Wednesday, May 16 and burial will be at 9 a.m. today at the Eagleman F a m i l y Cemetery in Rocky Boy. Stanley was born Jan. 27, 1949 in Fort Belknap to Paul and Mary Jane Eagleman. He was raised in Rocky Boy and attended schools in Rocky Boy and Box Elder. He attended the University of Montana and then entered into the United States Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He was married a few times and later divorced. He attended the United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, N. D. in 1993 and graduated with his associate degree in 1996. Stanley was a renowned Powwow singer. He liked country music and was a journeyman carpenter. He enjoyed building houses and attending rodeos. He traveled the Powwow circuit in his earlier years. His greatest enjoyment came from his family, his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Eagleman; four sisters, Faith The Boy, LeRita Eagleman, Cynthia Eagleman and Paulette Eagleman. Stanley is survived by his significant other Elaine Chandler of Rocky Boy, children, Sonja Stone of Red Pheasant, Saskatchewan Canada, Michelle Majuziewza of Brandon, Manitoba Canada, Shawn Swampy of Hobbema, Alberta Canada, Claudet Swampy of Hobbema, Alberta Canada, LeRita Swampy of Hobbema, Alberta Canada; sisters, Renita (Joy) Potts of Hobbema, Alberta Canada, Dorothy A. Crane of Rocky Boy, Pamela J. Stiffarm of Rocky Boy; brother, Brian Kelly (Violet) Eagleman of Rocky Boy, Johnathon J. (Eleanor) Eagleman and Glen Eagleman of Rocky Boy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; 25 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Services were entrusted to Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
