KAY CHAPMAN obituary

AUBURN, Wash. Kay E. “K-K” (Eggert) Chapman, originally of Havre, died Friday, March 30, 2007, after a 10-month battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Her public memorial service will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, April 16, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 603 Third Ave. SE, Pacific, WA 98047. Kay was an elegant woman, loving wife, daughter, mom, grandma, sister and friend. She never knew a stranger. Kay filled her life with her grandchildren's soccer games, concerts, wrestling events and honors ceremonies. She enjoyed traveling, her bowling league members, gardening, exercising and singing. Kay was an active member of the Children's Orthopedic Hospital Elizabeth M. Smith Guild for more than 10 years. Kay is survived by her loving husband, Merv, of Auburn; children, Mark Chapman and Amy Santibanez of Auburn; sister, Pam Peterson of Lincoln, Neb.; and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter, 6627 S. 191st Place No. F-106, Kent, WA 98032.
