ROSE LEWIS obituary

Rose Lewis, 83, of Havre died Friday morning, March 30, 2007, at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre. Rose was born July 31, 1923, to David and Frances (Kanaar) Rang in Fairview. She met Ray Lewis and they married on July 3, 1938, in Fairview. Rose and her husband, Ray, moved to Havre in 1956. They later divorced. Rose worked for several years at the Woolworth's lunch counter as a manager and waitress. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Raymond Lewis of Billings; daughters Sandra (Steve) Jones of Belgrade and Tami Lewis of Great Falls; brothers, Ted and Floyd Sullivan of Fairview; sister, Elizabeth Schubring of Chinook; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
