CAROLINE MITCHELL obituary

BOX ELDER Caroline Thelma Mitchell, 66, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died of cancer Thursday evening, March 22, 2007, at Northern Montana Hospital.

Her funeral Service was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. The wake began Friday at the church. Caroline was born Feb. 14, 1941, to Malcolm Gilbert and Caroline (Whitford) Mitchell in Fort Belknap. She enjoyed bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, visiting family and friends, sewing, church, reading and being around people. She worked as a Community Health representative for many years. She also worked as a Chemical Dependency Center counselor at Rocky Boy and for a time as a CNA in the Spokane and Seattle, Wash., areas. She was preceded in death by three brother; four sisters; two sons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Boushie of Box Elder; sisters, Lydia (Clifford) Sutherland and Sharon (Ervin) Watson of Rocky Boy; daughter, Martha Mae Mitchell of Box Elder; adopted daughters, Nicole Mitchell (Abria) of Rocky Boy, Heather (Dustynn) Sutherland and Alexis Sutherland of Box Elder; sons, Alfred Chandler Jr. Of Box Elder and Scottie Ameline of Great Falls; adopted sons, Curt Mitchell and Chance Mitchell of Box Elder; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
