BELGRADE Martha Konrad Decker, 88, died Tuesday morning, March 20, 2007.
Funeral Services will be held at 11a. m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Belgrade. Interment will be held in Glasgow at a later date. Martha was born in Nashua in April 1918 to Wilhelm and Mathilda (Fix) Konrad. In 1939, she married Benjamin Decker. Together they raised four children, beginning in Frazer and later moving to Havre. Following Ben's death in 1990, Martha moved to Billings and later to Three Forks. Martha was employed as an LPN by a hospital in Havre for more than 20 years. Some of her favorite activities included serving her church-Messiah Lutheran, spending time in her garden, working in her yard and being an active member of the Hill County Republican Women. She delighted in entering her flowers in the Hill County Fair, where she won many ribbons. Her family was very important to her and she spent countless hours covering each of them in prayer. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; son, Richard; and grandson, Evin Hertsgaard. Survivors include her sister, Hazel Floyd of Oklahoma City; son, James (Dee) Decker of Billings; daughters, Gerri (Cliff) Wrobetz of Belgrade and Jeannie (Tom) Hertsgaard of San Marcos, Calif .; two grandsons; seven granddaughters; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Bozeman Deaconess Hospice, 931 Highland Boulevard, Suite 3200, Bozeman, MT 59715; or to a charity of choice.
