LORRAINE WITT obituary

Lorraine Arlis Witt, 79, a homemaker and former beautician of Havre, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at the Care and Comfort Home in Havre, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

Cremation will take place and her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church with Pastors Brad Ulgenes and Michael O'Hearn officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Eagles immediately after the graveside service. Lorraine was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Wolf Point to Sigward and Minnie (McNeil) Lund. She attended schools in Wolf Point and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1946. She attended beauty school in Great Falls. Lorraine met Floyd Witt in high school at Wolf Point. The couple married in Chinook on April 5, 1948. The couple made their home in Havre. They semiretired and moved to Bozeman in 1992, where they lived for 14 years. Lorraine and Floyd returned to Havre in 2006. Lorraine enjoyed playing cards, reading, baking, playing the piano and traveling with her family and friends. She enjoyed her many summers that she spent at Swan Lake. Lorraine's greatest joy came from her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. She was inspired by all of the accomplishments in their lives. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Jennifer Stein. Survivors include her husband of nearly 59 years, Floyd Witt of Havre; daughters, Connie (Jim) Anderson of Billings and Jeanne (Joe) McLean of Havre; son, Larry (Sharon) Witt of Bozeman; brother, Richard (Doris) Lund of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions in Lorraine's honor may be made to the Care and Comfort Home, 416 10th Ave., Havre, MT 59501; the Alzheimer's Association, 3010 11th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101; First Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 66, Havre, MT 59501 or to a memorial of one's choice.
