MARJORIE BUSHY obituary

BIG SANDY Marjorie Maxine Bushy, 83, of Big Sandy died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at a local hospital of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy. Burial will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory. Maxine was born Dec. 1, 1923 in Balaton, Minn., to Bessie and Charles Claypool. They later moved to Hinsdale and Dodson. Maxine attended Montana State University in Bozeman for a year, and business college in Tucson, Ariz. Maxine worked at Gore Hill in Great Falls as a civil servant, and then moved to Tokyo, Japan, where she went to work as a civil servant also. There she met and married the man of her dreams, Frank Bushy. Frank died from injuries sustained in an auto accident in 1953. Maxine then returned to Dodson to raise their girls and worked as a clerk and secretary at the Dodson School until she retired and moved to Big Sandy in 1990. In Big Sandy, she made many new friends and enjoyed playing bridge and being a part of the Senior Citizens Center. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and counted cross-stitch. Survivors include her daughters, Randy (Bud) Colby of Harlowton, Sandy (J.T. Turner) DeGraaf of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Franky (David) Nelson of Big Sandy; sister, Joyce Johnson of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials in her name are suggested to the Big Sandy Senior Citizens Center or the Big Sandy Medical Center. Condolences to the family can be sent to [email protected].
