Melissa Mae (Green) Lundstrom, 32, of Malta, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, due to a two-vehicle collision 7 miles west of Malta on the Wagner Road.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Elim Lutheran Church with burial following in Malta Cemetery. Melissa Mae Green Lundstrom was born in Havre on Jan. 28, 1975, to Donald C. and Becky (Taylor) Green. She was raised in Malta, attended school there and graduated from Malta High School in 1993. Melissa loved working in the food industry and was currently employed at Westside Sports/Marine. She worked in North Carolina, Hardin and Peerless, where she worked in the swine industry. Pigs were still her love. Melissa attended college at MSU for one year. She was very active in their Big Brothers and Big Sisters program. Her son, Wes, was born in 1994. On Oct. 23, 2000, Melissa married Marty Lundstrom in Malta, and with his daughter, Vinnessa, they became a wonderful family. She loved working with kids at 4- H shooting sports and recently was involved with Malta's AMX Racing Association. She spent some time racing in Dodson. Melissa was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church and deeply loved her church family. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone. Melissa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth “Bobbie” Green; and father-in-law, John Lundstrom. Survivors include her husband, Marty Lundstrom of Malta; son, Wes Lundstrom of Malta; daughter, Vinnessa Lundstrom of Havre; parents, Donald C. and Becky Green of Malta; brothers, Josh (Jamie) Green of Scobey and Mike (Keily) Green of Helena; grandfather, Donald Green of Malta; grandparents, Tom and Alyce Taylor of Malta; great-grandmother, Ruth Hensley of Illinois; in-laws, Rodney and Charlotte Larsen of Glasgow, sisters-inlaw, Cindy Sennett of Helena, Heather Hartsock of Glasgow, Kristen Suddeth of Saco, Amanda Peyton of Missouri, Latoya Larsen of North Dakota and Latalya Larsen of Glasgow; brothers-in-law, Gary Lundstrom of California, John Guy Lundstrom of Washington, Shon Lundstrom of Florida, Shane Lundstrom of Louisiana, Kevin Hartsock of Glasgow and Buddy Lundstrom of Malta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to the Elim Lutheran Church in Malta. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
