GAIL WOLF obituary

Gail M. Wolf, 65, of Havre died Tuesday morning, Feb. 6, 2007, at her daughter's home in Havre of natural causes.

Cremation will take place and her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Great Northern Hotel Conference Room immediately after the graveside service. Gail was born March 3, 1941, in Minot, N.D., to Paul K. and Katherine (Meyer) Gange. She was raised and educated in Karlsruhe, N.D., graduating from high school in 1959. Gail married George N. Wolf on Oct. 13, 1959, in Karlsruhe. The couple made their home in Minot and raised their two daughters. Gail worked as a receptionist for The Minot Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic. The family moved to Havre in 1976, and in 1981 Gail went to work for Havre Implement as its bookkeeper. They purchased The Nut Shop, an ice cream store in the Holiday Village Shopping Center, in 1983. They operated that business for three years, then they sold it and moved to Mesa, Ariz. In Mesa, Gail worked in accounts payable for MTD Southwest Products for 18 years, until she became ill and moved back to Havre to be closer to her girls. Gail was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks, was a Brownie leader, participated in bowling leagues, and enjoyed ceramics, craft projects, sewing and working in her yard. Gail enjoyed following the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks. She was a very kind and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed following her grandson's activities and was an avid high school and collegiate wrestling fan, attending many wrestling tournaments across the nation to watch her grandsons. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Katherine Gange; husband, George N. Wolf in 2004; brother, Gerald Gange; and sister, Paulettte Gange Rohrer. Survivors include her daughters, Karla (Doug) Fisher and Jodi (Dan) Korb of Havre; grandchildren, Kyle (Lexy) Fisher, K.P. Fisher, Kaleb Fisher, Garrett Korb and Nathan Korb, all of Havre; brother, Dale (Elizabeth) Gange of Minot; sister's- in-law, Helen Gange of Punkin Center, Ariz., Barbara Wolf of Towner, N.D., and Agnes Rieniets of West Fargo, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in Gail's honor may be made to the Hi-Line Sletten Cancer Center, c/o Northern Montana Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 1231, Havre, MT 59501. Services have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
