AURORA, Colo. Victor Craig Chappell, 39, of Aurora, Colo., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007.
A memorial service with military honors followed by burial was held Jan. 26 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Victor was born June 30, 1967, in Omaha, Neb., to James A. “Jim” and Ethel Chappell. He graduated from CM Russell High School in Great Falls in 1986. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served 5 1/2 years. He received training at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora as a biomedical equipment technician. After his tour of duty, he worked at a hospital in Dalton, Ga., before returning to Denver to work at St. Joseph's Hospital for the past 14 years. Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Aurora; daughter, McKenzie of Aurora; son, Trystan of Aurora; parents, Jim and Ethel Chappell, of Chinook and formerly of Havre; brother, Vincent (Sharon) Chappell of Seeley Lake; sister, Christina (Jesse) Green of Kalispell; paternal grandmother, Inez Keedy of LaMonte, Mo.; one nephew; two nieces; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Donations can be made to Michelle Chappell and designated for the Victor Chappell Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank location
